BRAKE REPAIRS & SERVICING

Over unspecified time your brakes will wear out and require some form of servicing. How long Brakes last can vary and will come down to driving conditions, How you brake, the volume or consistent use of the car and other factors. For these reasons it is imperative you have your brakes serviced regularly. Here at the One-O-One Service Centre we fully understand the necessity and safety requirements of ensuring your brakes work and that you leave confident in knowing your car is fit for purpose and safe.

How do I know if my Brakes need checking?

• If you brake pedal feels ‘spongy’ or ‘springy’
• If your car pulls to the left or right when applying the brakes
• If you brake warning light is on
• If you hear a ‘grinding’ noise when applying the brakes

Points to remember:

• It is obviously very dangerous to you and other road users, including pedestrians, if your brakes are not working correctly
• Your vehicle could fail it’s MOT if the brakes are not checked and/ repaired as required.
• You could be prosecuted by the police if you cause an accident as a result of brake failure
• Brakes should be checked at least twice a year
• Brake fluid should be changed approximately every 2 years.
